A White Christmas

Christmas Eve, the kids always get new jammies to open on Christmas Eve. Instead of reading the nativity from the bible this year, we watched the Joy to the World DVD. It was so good and I think the kids got more out of the movie than if we read it.

Miss Kendall got a kitchen from Santa. One of the neighbor girls came to play later that day and asked if it was Kendall's kitchen, Hayden told her that it was his too. Nana and Papa gave her a princess dress, it was one of the first things she opened, she took her jammies off and put the dress on then took the dress off so she opened the rest of her presents in her diaper, and tried on the boys clothes that they got.

Hayden got a new scooter from Santa. Grandma Henry gave him this race track. It is so fun, we have had a blast playing with it and crashing the cars.

Grandpa White got the big boys remote control cars. I had to clear a shelf in the garage for them yesterday before I went crazy seeing them sitting on my new dining room table (grass, mud and all)!

Santa brought Jordan and Dylan remote control helicopters. They have had fun buzzing everyone with them and it is funny to watch the cat track them, she hasn't attacked yet!

Cookie Craze

I love making sugar cookies with my kids. The big kids are actually not too bad at decorating now. Hayden decorated 4 and ate 3 right then. Then he dumped half the jar of green sprinkles into the yellow frosting and stirred it up for a while.

And the winner is Dylan! My favorite this year was the tree in the middle, I'm told that is snow on the tree. The picture doesn't really do it justice though, there is ALOT of frosting on there!

Terrific Two!!

Kendall is TWO! My baby is two! Terrific two not terrible two, we are being optomistic - for now.

"Strike a pose"

Kickin' it with Big D

Oh ya, she's a rock star!

"Mom makes me do all the cleaning"

Nana couldn't find a broom, so she bought her a vacum.

Here are some things about Kendall at 2.

1. Hi, my name is Kendall and I am a Diego-holic. She has a serious Diego addiction. I don't know what to do about it.

2. She is always the first one to give a hug or find a blankie when someone needs it.

3. She eats like a linebacker! If the boys leave something on the table then leave to do something, it will be gone.

4. She takes her diaper off, ten million times a day! Grrr.

5. She likes to change her clothes.

6. She says everything is cute when we go shopping.

7. Sometimes, she ASKS me to do her hair! (we still have bow issues)

8. She loves to help with anything I'm doing.

9. She loves her brothers, even Hayden who picks on her all day.

10. She is sweeter than any of the boys ever were!!

Mr. Turtle

The kids found a turtle at the lake during Thanksgiving week. Alex bought it an aquarium (a rubbermaid box). I am actually surprized that it is still alive. It is a very exciting pet!

Haydenism

Hayden: Mom, maybe you can get me some kid paint and I can paint Dylan's room.

Me: No, only mommies and daddies can paint on walls.

Hayden: Daddies can't paint!

Dylanism

Dylan: Mom have you seen that thing I was spinning on the table?

Me: When? Today?

Dylan: No, like a month ago.

Thanks for Family

My Mom, Dad and neice Taylor came from Arizona and my sister from San Antonio for Thanksgiving week. The kids had so much fun playing with Taylor (even though she and Dylan can really have it out - it seems they are both REALLY stubborn - it was good for Dylan to have someone to fight with that didn't back down!) After she left Jordan complained that Dylan hogged her.

Sarah - the game is Zooballoo, and I don't know how she liked it they fought the whole time they played! But in a fun and loving way. I hope Tay had a good time, Dylan can be such a stinker!

Kendall didn't let Papa out of her sight almost the whole week. We were looking at pictures the other day and she pointed to Papa and said "mine". That about sums that up!

Crissy giving Dad some foot massage pointers on Mom. She gave us massages too, man I miss her!

Blue Bell

Last week we drove to Brenham to take a tour of the Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory. Sounds really fun and exciting right?! It was pretty disapointing. But we did discover a new flavor of ice cream, Butter Crunch - so good!

Zoo Crew

Nana & Papa took all us monkeys to the Zoo while they were here. We are very naughty monkeys indeed!

4th Picture Tag

I wasn't technically tagged, but I thought it was a fun idea.

Here is the 4th picture in my 4th file.

Too bad the picture wasn't taken on 4-4-04, that would have been freaky!

I Left My Heart in San Antonio

Grandpa had heart surgery on Friday. We went to visit him, the kids weren't allowed in so Alex and I took turns with them in the waiting room on Sunday. Jordan was allowed to go in just to say a quick hi on Saturday. Dylan was very sad that he couldn't see Grandpa, they have been very worried about him. He says that the drs fixed what they needed to fix and that he should be feeling much better very soon.

Dylan got to stay the night at his best bud, Casey's house on Saturday night. I was so glad they could get together, Dylan has missed Casey TONS! Jordan also had a sleepover with his friend, Phillip, who lived across the street from us. Phillip says the people who moved into our old house are mean. I just want to know if they painted Hayden's room.

I can't believe I didn't get any picures of Hayden and Tyson! We stayed with Tracie and Randy and went to Tyson's birthday party on Saturday. What a party! Tracie's sis-in-law made the cutest ice cream cone cupcakes - I am definitely going to try to make them some time. We had such a great time hanging out with the Barrs, we even got to have a date night Saturday night!

Trophy Day

I like that Dylan's hat is too small and makes his ears stick out. Such a cute little pin head!
This was actually last weekend, but better late than never. Just for the record, I think the trophies are silly (they don't even keep score) but the kids are very proud of them so I guess its worth it (we had to pay for them). Kendall was happy with her red baseball cupcake (I was finding that frosting up her nose for the next 24 hours)!

Daddy's Birthday

Last week was Alex's birthday. We went to Benihana for dinner. Dylan ordered the kids sushi plate, he is so weird. I will eat sushi rolls, I have even tried some of the strange ones that Alex orders, but I won't eat just the pieces of raw fish. Dylan will, he loves it. I guess he has to have some of his dad in him somewhere!

In honor of the present we got for Alex I made a basketball cake, we got him a basketball hoop. I can't believe it wasn't one of the first things he bought when we moved into this house. We have a long flat driveway that is perfect for it. It only took us two afternoons to get it put together - what a pain! I'm sure it will be well worth it though.

Happy Birthday!

What Would You Say?

Last week Alex was watching part of a Dave Matthews concert and I just happened to be listening at this paticular time...

Have you ever really heard the lyrics of What Would You Say? They are quite rediculous, but my favorite is...

I was there when the bear
Ate his head, thought it was a candy
Everyone goes in the end

I made Alex back it up so I could be sure that's what it said. I just thought I would share!

Halloween

Our neighbors hooked their trailor on to their 4 wheeler and pulled all the kids around trick or treating on the "hay ride". The kids had a great time, and when Hayden was tired he just sat in the the trailor and ate suckers.

Taking Pictures

"My turn"

"Now its your turn"

"Ok, now we'll both kinda smile"

"I just can't share the spotlight"

"Nope, it's my spotlight"

I haven't been able to get any "good" pictures of these two lately, so I figured I'd post the bad ones!

Saturday in the Sun

The boys had a double header yesterday. Three fun hours of baseball. They both hit well and scored runs. Dylan is funny everytime he does something good on the field he has to look at us to make sure we are cheering for him.

Jordan crossing home plate

Yes, it's October. The kids wanted to go swimming but I didn't have time to take them so we got out the slip n slide. (Steve - Jordan made sure I got all the stakes into the ground right!)

Kendall kept snapping the back of Dylan's swim trunks. She thought it was pretty funny!

I'm a Big Kid Now!

I am like totally like a grown-up now! I have furniture in all my rooms. Alex was nice enough to let me get this table for our dining room. I really did get a great deal on it! We even ate dinner in there last night.

I had a few days between when I bought the table and when it was delivered so it gave me some great motivation to paint the dining room. I have always wanted to do a dark brown room, I think it turned out pretty good. Next up, drapes!
