Jordan: That book lied then!

Me: What book?

Jordan: The book said that Lincoln was watching Oprah when he was shot.

Me: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! (what can I say, I'm a bad mom and it was funny!)

Scrapbook Heaven

Hosted by the scrapbook goddess, Kemille. I made these last night at Kemille's workshop. I made a couple of cards too. Kemille just amazes me, she comes up with. the cutest things. I like to be around her and just hope her skills rub off on me!!

Skateboards

Hayden is obsessed with skateboards. It's not a good thing for a 2 year old to be obsessed with. For example: this picture. And one day there were some boys on TV that were doing tricks on a half pipe (I think that's what it's called), so Hayden went out to the garage and got his skateboard, put it on the recliner, stood on it and tried to go down. Luckily the chair was too soft for it to roll. I told him "don't do that, it's not safe" he went back out to the garage and got his helmet. Another day, I bought a new scratching thing for the cats, it kind of looks like a ramp so he got his skateboard out and tried to ride down it. I, being the wonderful mother that I am, watched to see if he could do it. Fortunately it was not wide enough for the skateboard and it didn't go.

My Emotional Time of the Month

It is that time of month when I am overly emotional about everything! Anyway, last week I was telling my sister something about one of my friends and she asked me which one she is. After I described her I said, "she's one of those girl friends that if you could choose a sister, I'd choose her." And I was thinking about that this morning as I was debating whether it was too early to call her or not and it made me feel really blessed that I found this friend! And it made me cry. Sometimes I hate being an emotional girl.

I must say that I would also choose my sister if I got to choose (but I didn't have to), I love her more than she can imagine and she's one of my best friends. I don't know what I'll do if we ever live in different cities! And now I'm crying again!

Jordan

The other day Jordan was playing a game on the computer, the phone rang, he answered it and said "She's in the shower, I have her call you back." He hangs up the phone, turns around and looks at me and says "Call Tracie back when you're out of the shower." Lets be clear, I was NOT in the shower! I told him I was not in the shower and he said "oh, I thought you said you going to take a shower. Sometimes he is a total space case!

Today he cleaned and vacumed out the van. All for the low, low price of $8! I know it was his first time, but still you get what you pay for! It's better than it was though.

Little Miss Mess

Kendall has been rubbing her food in her hair. At first I was giving her a bath every night, now I just wash her hair in the sink after dinner. If you're ever out of hair gel, potatoes hold amazingly well!




She took out her pigtales and her hair was just cracking my up! She looks like she has puppy ears!

Nana & Papa fish

These are Hayden's fish, he named them Nana (orange) and Papa (green). He makes me give them kisses and makes them kiss each other.

Also, I find it funny because my cousins have real Nana and Papa Fish!

This morning, while eating breakfast, Jordan and Dylan were talking about when Nana and Papa come visit us next month and Hayden heard them and got all excited. So I told him they weren't coming right now, they were coming lots later. He said "oh, after I get dressed".

So proud!

My big accomplishment yesterday was that I went the entire day without getting food on myself, we even went out for dinner (which normally is a guarantee that I will get something on myself). I wish I could say it was from my kids, but typically it isn't, I am just clumsy. Last week I was eating a salad for lunch and I dropped stuff on my shirt like 10 times, I had salad dressing all over me! Silly me!!

double trouble

So, I was checking my e-mail a little while ago and I could hear Hayden in the kitchen on the counter getting out the plastic plates and bowls. I figured he wasn't hurting anything, so I let him continue. When I was done with my e-mail, I snuck up on him to take a picture...




Then I looked towards the pantry and found this...



I was so glad I already had the camera! That is pancake mix she's into and I'm still laughing at this picture!

Enchanted

Kemille and I took our boys to see Enchanted today. It is officially one of my favorite movies! It was so good, I think I smiled the whole time! Kemille's husband decided to tag along, after the movie he said "I should have just let you girls come by yourselves." So, defititely not a guy movie, but my boys liked it. I can't wait until it comes out on video, I will definitely own this one!

I asked Alex if he would be my prince and take me dancing, he said he would be my prince. I guess half the dream is better than none of it!
