Just Venting

For the first time since we have had our house on the market, I looked at the comments that the realtors that show the house leave about our house. I was so offended! And I don't get offended easily. They really weren't bad, but they should only be allowed to say nice things.

One of them said, "no curb appeal" - then why'd you look at it? You can see the front of the house from the pictures!

Another one said, "clients didn't like the nieghborhood, it was awkward to show because there were two children sleeping in one of the bedrooms" - So you're telling me that if my kids weren't napping they would have liked the neighborhood? Do you think that realtor had children?

And the absolutely most offensive was "very clean for a house that obviously usually has alot of kids in it." - I'm not sure why this was so offensive to me, but it really makes me angry. What does my having alot of kids have to do with someone buying my house?

I won't read the comments again! It wasn't good for me.

Take one and pass it down!

Ear infections anyone? We got um here!

Hayden and Kendall both have ear infections. It has actually been a couple of months since K's last (documented) ear infection, so the dr. isn't sending her to the ENT yet. I say documented because while we were on our cruise in december (see above pic), she was sick and we were too cheap to take her to the ship dr. so we waited until we got to Mexico and just got her some antibiotics. Her dr. wasn't impressed when I told him that. Oh well, I know she had an ear infection, she's had enough of them that I know the signs.

I am making this statement because according to Oprah what you put out there in the world will come back to you... We are done being sick at my house, no one will get sick or require a trip to any doctor for the next little while!!

S = S

Scrapbooking equals Showings! House showings that is. It seems like almost everytime I get all my scrapbook stuff out we get a house showing. Good for selling a house, bad for getting my scrapbooks caught up!

Just to Clarify...

Just to set the record straight, the leg Dr. said that Hayden's break is very common. I guess if they hyperextend their leg while landing on the trampoline, it can break the femur just above the knee. Whereas an adult would just sprain their knee because our bones are stronger than our tendons and ligaments, but kids are just the oposite.

So, this was not Papa's fault! In fact, if you ask Hayden he will tell you that Dylan did it (he didn't).

And of course the Dr. suggested we get rid of the trampoline.

Happy Happy Birthday Hayden Dear!

It was a Diego birthday for Hayden. We were going to get him a basketball hoop, but that just seemed cruel right now. Although for a kid who broke his leg 5 days ago, he is getting around very well. He has figured out how to walk, climb the ladder to the bunk bed and I've even seen him hop off of a few things (small things, but it totally makes me cringe).

Hayden sang happy birthday to himself (we sang too)! When we ask him how old he is he says "Hayden". We say "no you're 3", he says "no, I'm Hayden!" Can't argue with that now, can you?

Leg News

Hayden's last bath for a while. I let him play 'till the water was cold!

Good news, the break didn't go into his growth plate! He will be in the cast for 4 weeks, then they say he will be good as new. It is a walking cast, they gave us a "cool" little shoe to put on the bottom so as soon as he figures out how to move in it, he'll be back up.

Back at home! Big brothers couldn't wait to sign his cast. He got to have chocolate chip waffles for dinner, the very wonderful Becca fed my other kids and sent dinner home for Alex and me.

I'm sure Hayden would appreciate any friends that want to visit! It won't take him long to get bored with me.

"I need another leg"

My poor little baby!! Hayden broke his leg Tuesday night. Yep, broke his leg. He was jumping on the trampoline with Dylan and Papa, he fell and somehow broke his femur. Through the urging of my wonderful friends I decided to take him to an urgent care center today instead of waiting for his Dr. appointment tomorrow. I am glad I have friends who don't mind telling me what to do, and friends who take my other kids! It is fractured right above his knee and the Dr. thought that it might go into his growth plate, so we have to take him to a specialist tomorrow afternoon.
While we were in the waiting room, Hayden wanted to leave and we told him that we needed to get his leg fixed and he said "No, I need another leg." He's a trooper!

Visitors

Crissy shared her dessert with Kendall. Kendall obviously wanted more!

We made Nana and Papa try Guitar Hero. Nana was rockin' pretty good.
I have even started my own band on it, Jax & The Wax. We rock!

Last night we went to the Rodeo Finals and saw Gary Alan in concert. It was so much fun. I didn't realize how cute he is! Dylan went with us, his first rodeo, he liked the buckin' broco and thought they were mean to the baby cows. He thought the concert was the best part. Jordan was supposed to come too, but he wasn't feeling well.

My dad brought the rain, again, so we didn't get to do a whole lot on Friday and Saturday. Thursday we went over to La Cantera to do some shopping. Mostly though, they just like to hang out with the grandkids and of course the grand kids love it too! Kendall is a little obsessed with Papa. She is happy just to hang out on the couch with him for hours at a time (for those of you who know Kendall well, you know she's not a hangin' out kinda girl).

Just a couple more days of fun with them and then they have to head home :(

Little Miss Mess, Again

Looks much worse that it is!

Jordan's stamp fell on the floor and Kendall was kind enough to pick it up for him. And eat it.

I really don't have anything interesting to say, just a cute picture of my cute little K.

955

I actually ran out of pictures to scrapbook.

I hadn't printed pictures since summer 06.

I ordered 955 pictures, I don't think I will be running out anytime soon! It is one of my goals this year to get caught up on the scrapbooks. It will probably be one of my goals next year too.

Denile

I have been avoiding the blog scene for the last week because I heard a rumor that there was a very depressing post from Bryant and I figured if I didn't read it, I couldn't possibly be real. Today, I gave in. I read this horrible, awful, heart breaking post, then it sunk in. But I had just put my make-up on and was going out to run errands, so I couldn't think about it because I didn't want to cry. So I went about my day, I bought some shoes to try to cheer myself up. I bought Kendall some shoes to try to cheer myself up. It was a very short term solution. I thought if I did something nice for someone else it would cheer me up, that worked a little better. So I tried that one again. That's my solution, so if you need service, I'm your gal!

I figure it's Jennifer M's fault. She said once that everyone she gets close to moves. So I ban you Jenn from being friends with anyone I know!! Although, I guess I would have to ban her from being my friend too and that's not acceptable.

It's a good thing that Hayden and Gracie are engaged, at least we have that to look forward to!
