Luncha Libre

I think my husband uses this mask to intimidate people at work!

Isn't he cute?!

First day of school

Ready for school! Jordan is in 4th grade and Dylan is in 1st (I can't believe I have a 4th grader). We always take a picture on the first day of school. When I was little we always took one in front of our fire place.

Dylan didn't even say goodbye when I walked them to school. He saw his teacher from last year, ran and gave her a big hug and was gone! Hopefully, he will like his teacher this year as much.

vegetable juice

The other day there was a V-8 commercial on, about a minute after it was over, Dylan's gets this horrified look on his face and says "vegetable juice, that's disgusting!"

It was very funny!! I love the things kids say.

Last days of summer

Alex took a couple days off so we could go have some fun before school starts. On Thursday we went bowling and to Chuck E Cheese's where we got almost 1000 tickets!

And on Friday, we went to Six Flags with just the big boys. There was hardly anyone there, we got to go on all the rides! Dylan even went on Tony Hawk's big spin. (check out Dylan hiding his face- "girls are so gross") Jordan goes on all the roller coasters with us! Then we picked up the little kids and went swimming. What a day!

We met the boys teachers and we are all ready for school! (mostly Mom) We had a great summer! We got to do lots of fun stuff and hang out with friends and family that we love. We are pretty lucky to have such a great life!!

confessions of a good cook

I must tell you, I am a good cook, even great sometimes. Not to be braggy, but this is one of my strong suites. I can bake, I can decorate, I can do the fabulous Sunday dinners, I even have some very delicious quick and easy meals in my arsenol. I pride myself on being able to make something good (not necessarily good for you, but good) for my family most nights.

But, I cannot make a good pot roast! I haven't even tried for a very long time, but I decided to try again yesterday. IT SUCKED! My vegis didn't even turn out good. It was a bad meal, even the frozen bread that you cook in the oven didn't turn out well. It didn't thaw out all the way in the middle so after I cut it I put it back in the oven for a few minutes, which made the crust way too crunchy.

I am a pot roast failure. From this point forward, I vow to never again make a pot roast. I will wait for the once a year when I go to my mom's house to have it. I will savor it that one time a year. I am a pot roast failure.

This is me... today

Yesterday I was super cranky. You know the kind of cranky that no matter what someone says to you it seems that they are attacking you in some way. Yet, today I am perfectly fine. Can someone explain that to me? Is it hormones, moodswings or is that just the way I'm suposed to be?

I don't think I am one of those super moody women that men complain about. Maybe I am. I could ask my husband, but I know what answer I would get. Because he'd be asking for it if I am one of those super moody women and he told me that I actually was. So I will go on believing that I am not a super moody woman, I was just having a bad day.
