Jordan the Boy
Tracie asked me how Jordan the boy felt about Jordan the dog, so I asked him and he said "that makes me feel good, I like dogs!" Not the response I was expecting!

Birthday Cake
I have lived with too many boys for too long.
Here is what I came up with for Jordan's birthday cake. For those of you who don't know, (lucky you) it is the XBox symbol or close to it anyway.
When I was in the middle of making the frosting, the showing agent called to say that someone was coming to see the house in 25 minutes. I made a mad dash to get the kitchen cleaned up and the rest of the house straightend up, inlcuding the laudry I had just folded but not put away yet. I definitely got my exercise in today! Which was good because we had birthday cake to eat!
Jordan turned 9 today! I can't believe I have a 9 year old. Where did all the time go? That's almost 10, you know! Craziness. I think he had a good birthday. We went out to the Chinese buffet for dinner with Grandma White, Andrew, David, Caleb, Crissy and all of us. Then back to our house for cake and presents. He was very excited about all of his presents.
It was a busy, crazy, fun day!

Jordan the Dog
Before Jordan was born, we already had his name chosen and we told all our friends and family what we planned to name him. When he was a couple weeks old, my Uncle told me that he couldn't believe I really named my kid after our dog...
Yep, growing up we had a dog named Jordan. Somehow, (possibly due to pregnancy stupidity) that thought escaped me when we were choosing our sons name. And apparently everyone in my family assumed that I remembered that we had a dog named Jordan and I just didn't care or maybe they thought I was naming him after the dog, either way no one said anything about it. Imagine my embarrasment when I realized I had named my son after a dog.
So now when we want to tell a story about Jordan the dog, we have to say "remember when Jordan the dog tipped over the dishwasher" or "remember when Jordan the dog had a lizard hanging out his mouth" or "remember when you named Jordan after Jordan the dog!" It's not like we had this dog when we were little, we had him in jr high and high school.
It used to embarass me but now it is just a funny story to tell. One I will certainly tell to my grandkids someday!

Great Grandma's Quilt
The other day Kendall got her Quilt from my grandma. All the kids have gotten them, they all love them, and I love them. I am so excited, it makes me smile everytime I see it! It totally goes with her crib decor too. So, we took a picture to send to Grandma and of course Hayden had to get in on it too.
Giddy Up Crissy
Sometimes, my little sister is nice enough to come visit us. Last week she brought us lunch from Chuy's - yummo! I however, am not ever nice enough to go visit her. But, I figure that's ok because usually I'm the good one- ha ha! Just kidding!
Crissy was talking about going to see Papa and Nana and when she left Hayden tried to go with her because he thought that's where she was going.
I love the way Kendall poses. She does this all the time. She is just so darn cute!

7 random things
Don't think I'm too crazy after this! I'm mostly normal...
1. I have to wash my feet before bed.
2. I always straighten the pictures when I am waiting in the dr. office. One time I took down a poster and put it back up, it was bugging me so bad.
3. I have two different sets of silverware, and I will only use spoons from one set. If they are all dirty I would rather wash one than use the other.
4. I LOVE resaurant pancakes.
5. My thumbs are double jointed.
6. I eat chocolate in some form everyday.
7. I hate touching newspaper, so I will only read the front pages of the sections.
And there you have it, I am wierd and I'm proud of it!

Complaints about Naughtyness
Yesterday Hayden and Kendall were little stinkers! My day was quite miserable. It is not a surprizing thing for Hayden to be naughty, but Kendall is usually so easy and sweet and NAPS REGULARLY. Yesterday she didn't want to go down for naps at all. She only had one nap and it was way later than normal, so by the time Hayden finally (I'll get to that in a minute) went down for his nap, Kendall woke up, giving me all of about five minutes to myself. Which normally wouldn't be so bad, but Kendall wanted to be held all the time and Hayden was super whiney (like I am now) and just not happy about anything.
So the problem with Hayden's nap was that normally Kendall naps in my room in the afternoon and Hayden sleeps in their room. But Kendall crawled over the pillows and off the bed the day before, so now she can't sleep there anymore. Which I guess didn't matter yesterday since she was still down for her morning nap which she takes in her crib. Anyway, I was trying to get Hayden to take a nap in my bed, but instead he went through all the drawers in my room, which have alot of odd and ends in them (binoculars, balloons, lotion, yarn, batteries, etc.). Yes, fun to clean up and shove back in their specially formed spots they have been squished into. So then I try to lay down with him and he proceeds to lay there and randomly wack me in the face, also fun. It didn't end well...
After he went to sleep I snuck out and as soon as I sat down to eat my grilled cheese sandwich that I had made an hour before (yum, cold grilled cheese) I heard Kendall waking up.
They both cried at my feet the whole time I made dinner and when dinner was ready I made the kids plates and got Kendall ready for bed. I got her to sleep and then Hayden and Dylan made alot of noise in the hall and she woke up. Thankfully after Alex got home he took her until she went to bed at like 9:30 (she's ulsually in bed around 8).
What a super fun day! What's sad is that today I had my two little ones plus 4 more two year olds and today was easier!
Maybe they got all their naughtiness out for a couple weeks! Hopefully!

Texans
This was forwarded to me, but it was so funny and true, I thought I would share with everyone!
Forget Rednecks, here is what Jeff Foxworthy has to say about folks from Texas......
If someone in a store offers you assistance and they don't work there, you may live in Texas...
If you've worn shorts and a coat at the same time, you probably live in Texas....
If you've had a lengthy telephone conversation with someone who dialed a wrong number, you most likely live in Texas....
If "Vacation" means going anywhere south of Ft. Worth for the weekend, you probably live in Texas....
If you measure distance in hours, you may live in Texas....
If you know several people who have hit a deer more than once, you may live in Texas....
If you install security lights on your house and garage, but leave both unlocked, you may live in Texas....
If you carry jumper cables in your car and your wife knows how to use them, you may live in Texas....
If the speed limit on the highway is 55 mph -- you're going 80 and everybody is passing you, you may live in Texas....
If you find 60 degrees "a little chilly", you may live in Texas....
If you actually understand these jokes, you definitely live in Texas!
(Dylan had to wear a jacket this morning and it was 72 degrees)

For Sale
This is a new adventure for me, I'll keep you posted on how its going!
BBQ's
We went to Grandma and Grandpa White's for a BBQ on Sunday afternoon. We had a BBQ at our house on Saturday with some friends but I forgot to take pictures.
The big boys got to spend the night and hang out with Grandma and Grandpa on Labor day. Alex and I worked on the house all day.
Hayden and his little lady
I am training Hayden to let his ladies drive!
Either way they drive until the run into something, like the fence or the playset or the house. Then I have to go turn them around so they can drive again, over and over and over again!
