Hayden Says...

Today when leaving the park I told Hayden we had to go home to take a nap.
He said "I don't need to go home, I can take a nap at the park, I'll find a bed. Tell Miss Becca, Gracie can take a nap at the park too." (I hope he's not going to become a bum later in life)

Yesterday when Alex was leaving for work, he told Hayden to have a good day. Hayden yelled back "I will, I'm going to Gracie's house!"

I didn't procrastinate this one!

10 years ago I had been married for almost a year. I was 5 months pregnant with Jordan. We lived in a crummy mobile home in Cottonwood. Alex was working as an HR assistant at Enchantment and I was delivering car parts at Big A.

5 years ago we had just moved to Lajitas. Jordan was 41/2 and Dylan was 3. Alex was the HR Director for Lajitas, I stayed home with the kids. We lived in a really really old house on "the hill" with only ONE bathroom.

5 months ago Kendall had just turned 1, we had just gotten back from a Caribean cruise, just had a great Christmas. Other than that not too different from now.

5 things on my to do list today 1. Send in Alex's car registration 2. clean the kitchen 3. take the boys for haircuts 4. make dinner 5. scrapbook while Alex goes to play basketball!

5 snacks I enjoy 1. ice cream 2. chocolate anything 3. frosting covered graham crackers 4. yogurt 5. cookies. Although I am not snacking on anything but vegis, fruits, and yogurt right now!

Procrastinator?

So, my sister-in-law tagged me with this question about 2 weeks ago...

And obviously the answer is yes. I didn't used to be though. It wasn't until after we moved to Lajitas and life was so relaxed and it really didn't matter if something got done that day, I would certainly have time to do it the next or the next or even the next.

I find I get alot more done if I am busy throughout the whole day. If I have lots of time to get things done, somehow nothing gets done. Someone once told me that if you want something done quickly to give it to a woman who if very busy. I never understood that until the past couple years. Like if I know I will have time to clean my kitchen after lunch, what is the point in doing it after breakfast?

Friday

It is amazing to me how watering plants turns into playing in the water. I really can't explain Jordan, all I know is he was playing his friends psp while his friend played basketball in our garage (why the helment, I don't know!).

UNbelievable!!

So, since Hayden has been allowed back on the trampoline after he broke his leg (only about 3 weeks) the rule has been 'no big kids on with little kids'. Saturday the big kids broke the rule and as bad luck would have it Hayden broke his arm. Ya, unbelievable, rediculously unbelievable.



At the ER Saturday night, they gave him some Tylenol 3 before they made his splint. He was very silly.


Seeing Gracie was his treat for being good while getting his cast! Wonderful Becca watched all the other kids while we took Hayden to the Dr, when we were leaving Hayden wanted to ride home with Alex but I remined him that he wanted to see Gracie. Hayden looked at Alex and said "Daddy drive me to Gracie's house!"

And YES we are getting rid of the trampoline!!

For those of you who know Tyson, you will know what I'm talking about...

Hayden's cute little friend Tyson says wrah instead of ya, now I think Hayden thinks that wrah is its own word. He says it when he is excited, like in place of sweet (what he used to say). I love it!!

Kendall finally got to wear her Easter dress. She is getting pretty good at posing for the camera!

Alex has been in HEAVEN this week! There have been sports people all over downtown, plus cheerleaders! (The blonde one is cheerleader of the year) He mentioned something about asking the Fox sports guys for a job and I think he also asked the Wisconsin basketball coach for a job.

Not to mention that he got to go to the basketball games last night and tomorrow. They say the final 4 may not come back to San Antonio for quite some time so I told him to live it up! I just hope he remebers how nice I was about it when I want something (think girls weekend).

Idol Obsession

I think I am getting way too invested in American Idol. I had to cover my head with my blanket when Brooke was being told whether she was kicked off or not. This is only the second season I have watched, what took me so long and how did I live without it?!
