Funnies

Kendall chose a Lotso bear (toy story 3) from the disney store as one of her Christmas presents. Yesterday, we were watching toy story and I said to her, "you know Lotso is the bad guy, why did you choose him?" She shrugged heer shoulders and said "because he's happy." And I thought wickedness never was happiness!

Yesterday, Dylan cut up an apple and was then searching the kitchen for something. I asked him what he was looking for. He said the caramel I was using on my apple. He was very disappointed to find out it was peanut butter!

Kids are so entertaining!

Rappers

I'm sure I will get in trouble for sharing this story, but I'm the mom it's my right to share my kids embarrassing stories!

Jordan had a new teacher that asked them to fill out a questionnaire about themselves. On one of the questions Jordan wrote his answer "My favorite rapist is Eminem" thinking that the term rappist was interchangeable with rapper (but he spelled it wrong anyway). So the teacher was reading through the papers and started laughing and asked "Who is Jordan White?" Jordan raised his hand and she asked him if it was supposed to say rapist. Needless to say his friends have been teasing him endlessly, as they should!

Sweetest Smile

There isn't anything sweeter on this planet than a new baby smile. Callen is so sweet, he has started taking little breaks while he nurses to smile at me. Melt my heart! I can't believe he's almost a month old. He's such a good baby - except when he's hungry! He usually only wakes up once at night - he's so sweet that once I'm awake and out of bed, I don't even mind. Sometimes I even catch myself snuggling a little longer than I'd like at 3am!

The other kids all LOVE Callen. He doesn't get left alone too often, luckily he doesn't mind the attention. In fact he isn't too pleased if we all leave the room without him!

I know I haven't posted any new pictures - I've got them, lots of them and not just of Callen, we've had lots going on this month. They are all stuck on my camera, actually they are stuck on Jordan's camera. Ours broke and I guess we don't have the cord for Jordan's camera and the SD slot on our computer doesn't work and Alex's laptop is down right now too. But I got a new phone that takes good pictures, so I'll have to use that for now.

Callen Jacob

Callen Jacob - 8lbs 2oz - 20.5 inches - born @ 2:32 pm on October 28th

I went in for my regular doctor appointment Thursday morning and my blood pressure was really high, so my dr. gave me the choice of going to the hospital for blood work or to be induced. After she she talked me into it, I decided to be induced. It turned out to be a good decision because she said she would have induced me later that day after my blood work came back anyway. I was about to go into preeclamsia.

My dr. broke my water and started the pitocin at about 1:15 and Callen was born at 2:32. The epidural lady got there too late and it was too late for any other pain medication - not fun. Good thing it was a short labor! My dr. didn't even make it back from her office, which is right next to the hospital.
We are very blessed, Callen is perfectly healthy and so far very happy!

Confidence

Yesterday, Hayden was having a fit because there were no friends around to play with. I told him that he is so lucky he has brothers and a sister to play with. Hayden of course responded with "I don't want brothers and a sister, I just want friends!"

To which Kendall replied, "Oh Hayden, you love me!"

12

It has taken me so long to do Jordan's birthday pictures because I've been in denile that I have a 12 year-old. Though part of me looks forward to the perks of having my very own 12 year-old (date night), most of me can't believe he's 12. That's only 4 more years 'till he's 16, how scary is that?

Traditional birthday pancakes - I'll have to remember to make them a little smaller next year!

Yummy oreo cheesecake, that I didn't make! Thanks Callie!

Alex got tickets from work to the Astro's game on Jordan's birthday, so Alex, Andrew, David and Jordan went to the baseball game. Only Alex didn't actually check the tickets and they were for the next weekends game. So Alex took Jordan, Dylan and Hayden the next weekend - when they actually got to go watch the game! Dylan got his Astros hat signed by a couple of guys and the Astros got whooped, as usual! The games are still so much fun when you get to sit right behind the dugout.

Random Pictures

My cutie Kendall in one of the skirts I made for her. All ready for church with her spiderman phone and her granola bar!

Dylan bought these Triop Eggs at Hobby Lobby. Only one of the hatched and survived (well for a month or so). I called him "Mr. Creepy Fish". He wants to try it again and actually follow the directions this time so maybe he can get more than one fish. Personally, I'm ok with just the one.

Safety Patrol! Yes, Hayden still perfers his trike to his big bike. Kendall also prefers Hayden's trike because her knees almost hit the handle bars on hers! She's going to ask Nana and Papa for a big bike for her birthday (hint, hint)!

Convo with Kendall

Almost every time we get in the car the conversation goes like this:

Kendall: Can I sit in Hayden's spot?
Mom: No, sit in your seat.
Kendall: What's my number?
Mom: 3
Kendall: And what's Hayden's number?
Mom: 5
Kendall: And when I'm 4 can I sit in Hayden's spot?
Mom: Maybe sometimes.

Today the conversation took a strange turn.

Kendall: Hayden's my brother. Do we have the same color hair?
Mom: It's almost the same.
Kendall: Ya, and we use the same toilet.

Baby Countdown

One month to go! I keep telling myself that I am tough and can make it through another month of misery. However, it doesn't keep me from laying on my bed and crying about it a couple times a day!

I'm seriously considering going to buy one of those long grabber things, because I just can't handle bending over anymore! So if you happen to visit my house, just expect there to be toys and crap all over the floor.
